Nuclear power is necessary evil

From the time of the first nuclear explosion in Japan, whole world got sacred with the immense power it harbours. Nowadays, it has been used in multiple ways to generate power and providing us with clean energy in comparison to conventional fossil fuels. But, there are still doubts about its potential hazards in today’s society.

Since the day when Einstein had come up with his revolutionary equation of mass and energy, it had created an environment of great surprise between the scientific realms. Everyone started to find out its true potentials and application. Einstein’s equation had given birth to the concept of nuclear fission, which drives the secret behind the atomic weapons. Scientists of Nazi Germany had started working on creating a nuclear weapon. This information had made Einstein to write a letter to the American government, which resulted in the event of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. This had claimed thousands of lives and created an environment of terror.

However, this has one bright side to it. The principle of nuclear fission is also behind the nuclear reactor, which has provided us with clean energy from decades. As our reserves fossil fuel reserves are drying up, it has come up with as a boon to solve the problem of energy crises. On the other hand it does not creates any pollution and provide us a clean variant of non-renewable energy for a prolong period of time.

In conclusion, nuclear power has multiple applications in the field other than weapon of mass destruction such as clean energy, medicine and so on. It is up to us and government that how to harvest its power.
